ComfyDome is a growing new-age hospitality business designed for travelers that want adventures and to connect with the outdoors! We help make your vacation memorable with the most unique sleeping accommodations in mid-coast Maine, 5-star customer service, great outdoor gear and adventures, and affordable rates. Guests from all over the United States, parts of Canada and Europe have made ComfyDome a part of their visit when in Maine.
We are the perfect vacation spot or a great stop on your way to Bar Harbor! We are only 1 hour and 15 minutes from Portland! Less than 3 hours from Boston!
Hi, I’m Seth Fraser.
Founder of ComfyDomeGlamping.
My passions are the outdoors, providing extremely high-quality customer service, and to help make lasting memories for our guests!
I created ComfyDome because I saw a need for change in the vacation industry. The typical vacation is to travel to one spot, stay there for a whole week, spend thousands of dollars on a plain old room and if you’re lucky have a little money left over for an adventure. On top of that, you have to figure out all the details or pay a travel agent to do it for you. This is how I traveled for years with my family and usually, halfway through the vacation we were bored of the same place and wished we didn’t spend all that money. That's why I created ComfyDome!
We believe in Uniqueness.
That is why we use clear domes as rooms for our guests! There is nothing cooler than looking up when you are going to sleep and seeing the stars and moon instead of a ceiling, and in the winter you may be lucky enough to see a fresh snowfall coming down.
We believe in the Environment.
The domes are eco-friendly (made from 100% recycled material) and have a very small carbon footprint. We are also off-grid as much as possible! The durable structure of the dome allows us to be open all year round!

Our adventures are designed for people that want outdoor experiences that are memorable, unique, and affordable!
We believe in Maine.
We encourage our guests to break their vacation up into several different stays. A few nights at ComfyDome, maybe a few nights in Bar Harbor and then maybe a few nights in Portland Maine. This way you get to experience all of Maine instead of just one place!
